Gorgeous vintage hand beaded abstract print purple and black hostess maxi dress. Circa 1960s.

The bodice is deep black rayon jersey with wrist length sleeves with wide cuffs which fasten with concealed metal snaps.

The center front features an inverted pleat embellished with hand beading done with iridescent purple beads, wood beads, wood rings and fuschia mirrored circles.

The dress is lightly gathered where it is sewn to the front and back yokes and where it is sewn to the skirt at the waist seam.

The sleeves are also gathered at the shoulder and where sewn to the wide cuffs which are hand beaded.

Blouson style bodice does up the center back with concealed metal snaps with six non-functional self covered flat buttons.

Beautiful flaring rayon jersey abstract Pucci style swirl print maxi length skirt zips up the center back with a short metal zipper.

The top of the skirt is the same black jersey as used for the bodice and is embellished with hand beading.

The bodice and top of the skirt are lined with soft black cold rayon.

The print skirt itself is unlined.

DESIGNER LABEL: DePaul New York / Made in Hong Kong

CONDITION: Excellent - No stains, odors, discoloration, fading, rips, snags, holes, tears, missing or loose beading or other issues. The only thing is some minor wear to the fuschia mirrored circles on the front.

Freshly cleaned and ready to wear.

SIZING: Tagged a vintage size 10. However, based on the measurements below, I'd say this would best fit a modern size Small.
