This late 70's to early 80's skirt suit set has the fun of Koos appliqué work, but with subtle tones; beige, cream, tan, stone blue & pink. The skirt has a flared silhouette w/inverted, wide box pleats & 1" width waistband. Nylon zipper & hook+eye back closure. The jacket features more interesting details; a shawl style collar trimmed w/overdyed ditsy print, front & back shoulder yokes adorned with a topstitched floral print also trimmed with the ditsy print. This prints are echoed at the upturned cuffs. There are 2 welt hip pockets, as well as 2 whimsical wooden buttons for waist closure. The jacket in mostly unlined, with light shoulder padding, and an overall boxy, or straight cut. The overall condition is near mint to very good, with the skirt having no flaws aside from light chipping to the paint on its zipper pull. The blazer does have many very small, somewhat pale stains throughout; 2 small dots at upper right shoulder, 1 pale dot on right side of collar fold, 1 near upper button, 1 pale spot at left chest, and 2 small dots near right center front. These are all barely noticeable, but all issues are disclosed. Please review photographs 4 full details. Labels read 'Koos Van Den Akker, New York', 'size 8', 'Dry Clean Only'
