Love a classic skirt suit, that suits any era? Pun totally intended...

A true classic fashion item will always look good, in any era, and this is a fine example for a skirt suit! Made from a medium weight woven wool fabric in merlot or deep red color, this suit has some structured details, while maintaining a still-feminine allure. The shoulders feature moderate padding (not at the actual shoulders, but in the uppermost sleeve section) and pleating for a slightly masculine silhouette. The full length sleeves end in upturned, pointed cuffs (à la 1950's). The standing collar has a soft curve, that graduates to a softly curved v-neck and three-button center front, plus lightly gathered shoulder yokes. Self-fabric belt at jacket waist. The skirt is high waisted, with a fully paneled yoke upper, that graduates into a center front inverted pleat. Skirt has metal zipper and button waist closure at center back. Both pieces are lined in a same-color acetate fabric but contain no labels or maker's marks. The overall condition is excellent, with a few small repairs throughout; to pin size holes, lining at jacket side seam, and small light grey stain at front skirt, but no major flaws to note!
