This peachy-pink poly-cotton and ivory lace, deadstock early 1970s maxi dress by Shaheen was made for their junior line “Miss K”. The somewhat loose-fitting style is most fitted at the shoulders and bust, and flares gently outward from bust to hem. The dress has bands of romantic floral lace trim on the three-quarter-length bell sleeves, the square neckline, and the hem. A wide panel of differently patterned floral lace overlays the front of the dress from neckline to hem. A narrow row of crochet lace trim goes around the neckline, and then runs along the sides of the front lace panel to the hem. The back of the dress has a shoulder yoke with curving seams. The dress fastens with a plastic zipper in back, and it is unlined. The mid-weight, textured polyester and cotton blend fabric is a color midway between peach and pink. It feels slightly stiff to the touch, but since the dress has never been worn, it may soften a bit with future laundering. This lovely lace-trimmed 70s Shaheen dress is in excellent to mint condition, unworn, with no flaws to note.
