The Miss Dior line was named after Christian Dior's sister, Catherine. Catherine was a part of the French Resistance and therefore was captured by Gestapo. She was sent to Ravensbrück concentration camp. For years, Christian remained uncertain whether his sister was still alive. After she was liberated in 1947, Christian named the line after her as a tribute.
