70’s Navy Herringbone Tweed Jacket$189.00
This one of a kind handmade navy blue herringbone tweed jacket is absolutely amazing. Made by an expert seamstress and is part of my Congressman's collection.* Dark navy blue that looks almost black (some photos are a little lightened so you can see the detailing) with a burgundy red lining. It is a nice weight woven fabric that is lined. Appears to be wool. I'm sure back in the day it was more of a formal winter jacket but it would even look amazing with jeans, also cute with a dress and boots! Short cropped to some degree but not too short. Long sleeves with wonderful yarn detailing and bolero loops on the sleeves. Totally unique and vintage so you will never see another one like it! Estimated to be from the 1970s.
Approximate size is a medium, 7 so lay a garment you have on hand flat and compare to the below measurements - no tags as it is handmade! No rips, stains, or holes. This comes from a smoke and fragrance free home.
There are 2 extra snaps that were added at some point to the jacket, you could remove if you didn't want to wear it buttoned up as a high collar jacket.
Measurements taken with the garment laying flat:
Shoulder, seam to seam: 15 1/2"
Under arm across the front under other arm: 19"
Waist: 17 1/2"
Hips: 19"
Arm Length: 22" (shoulder seam to wrist)
Length, Top Shoulder to Bottom Hem: 21"
