You need a distressed leather briefcase or satchel like this! A bag with 'lots of character', because it's seen some things. The beauty of a well-made leather bag is that it truly can withstand the tests of time. This bag comes in a minimally treated (more natural, with less surface protectant) tawny-tan brown color. It has a large flap closure with a simplistic twist locking mechanism. It contains two compartments: the larger interior compartment and a flatter pocket toward the front. The top of bag features an interior metal bar (not visible), with the top handle bolted onto this section. There are no labels or maker's marks, and the simplicity of its design has me guessing that its handmade. The overall condition is excellent in functionality (I have top-stitched the broken areas of stitching throughout, to reinforce it, and prolong its life), however there are some obvious areas of staining and distress throughout. Small, light white stains on lower back side of bag and slight curling of leather at corners. Please see photographs for full details.
