Alfred Shaheen was known for popularizing the Hawaiian shirt, as well as for his vibrant, colorful prints. This fabulous 1970s dress with its mandala print skirt is a prime example of his work!
This dress has a lime green top with a ruffle around the neckline and a matching sash. Zips up the back. The skirt is white with an amazing mandala print in pinks, greens, and blues. They called Alfred Shaheen the "master printer" for a reason! The print is impressively detailed and the colors are still incredibly vibrant. This dress would be amazing to wear on vacation or out to a nice dinner.

Condition
Overall good vintage condition. A few flaws to note. There is a light stain on the skirt, as well as several darker stains on the lining - luckily the ones on the lining are hidden when the dress is worn. There are also a couple of pulled threads. One pulled thread is near the waist and can be covered by the sash. The other is next to one of the mandalas. See photos. Despite these flaws, the dress still presents beautifully!
