Gorgeous and rare 70s white hippie wrap maxi dress. This lovely boho gown is missing most of the label, but the RN number is for S Howard Hirsh of California, a very on trend manufacturer of the times. Hirsh was instrumental in starting the garment district in Los Angeles. The ivory white cotton/polyester blend linen fabric has woven stripes running through it and has a knubby texture. Dress wraps from back to front and buttons at the waist with patch pockets (see 8th photo). Then the front wraps over the back and either ties in back (6th photo) or in front (1st photo). Completely lined in white cotton. Dress has a high square (almost boat) neck with a sheer (lined) lace upper bodice. Skirt has gathers at the waist and has a row of lace and fringe finishing the hem. Matching woven braid trims the edges. last photo shows how front and back are only connected at the shoulder seam. Quite rare, (I could not find another one on line) full length 70's dress would be the perfect for a cottagecore garden party and would make a beautiful wedding dress!
