70’s High Waist White Cotton Shorts with Appliques$25.00
These deadstock vintage, 1970s high-waisted shorts in white cotton twill have several cute gingham appliqués: a bee, a cherry and a $3 bill, all with embroidered edges. The fitted, slightly curved, wide waistband fastens in front with 2 metal snaps and nylon zipper. The shorts are cut in a somewhat full shape, below the fitted high waist, with gently flared leg openings. The white cotton has a diagonal weave, similar to traditional khaki trousers, and the fabric is a similar medium weight. Although unworn, the shorts do have one faint mark on the back of the left leg, from their long time in storage (see close-up photo). This may be improved with spot treatment, but is not terribly noticeable, as it is. These sweet 1970s white shorts are in very good condition, never worn, with no other issues to note. Our last photo (with the label) shows the shorts unpinned from the mannequin, to give a better idea of their actual size.
