This aqua blue print 1970s halter maxi can work as either a sexy sundress, or as a swim cover-up dress. It was made by a company synonymous with swimwear, Jantzen, and is made of the same lightweight and stretchy, shiny blend of nylon and spandex as their 70s swimsuits. The groovy floral print combines aqua, royal blue, green, and lilac shades. The halter has a plunging v-neckline and ties at the back of the neck. The bust cups are triangular, and gathered where they meet the underbust band, very similar to a bikini top! The backless bodice design has elastic at the in the back of the underbust band, for a snug fit. Below, the full-length skirt is gently flared to the hem. The dress's only fastenings are the adjustable ties at the neck: it is stretchy enough to pull on easily, over the head. In very good condition, the dress has a few tiny snags in the surface of the shiny fabric, from normal wear and laundering. This fun, early 1970s maxi dress or swim cover-up by Jantzen is perfect for a day at the beach, or a cocktail party by the pool!
