Beautiful striped silk day dress from the 1970s.

Lightweight silk dress with a wavy striped print in blue, bronze, and brown accented with white as pictured.

The bodice features diagonal bust darts and is lightly gathered where it is sewn to the cased elastic waist.

Keyhole neckline fastens with one self-covered domed button and loop. Small Mandarin style collar.

Below the elbow, three quarter length sleeves with single self-covered button cuffs.

The skirt is laid with the striped fabric running vertically for contrast with the bodice and is lightly gathered at the waist.

Comes with its original double-layered self-fabric sash belt.

Pulls on over the head with no zipper.

The bodice is not lined. The skirt is lined with satin (probably acetate).

DESIGNER LABEL: There are no labels as this is handmade by a skilled seamstress or tailor.

SIZING: There are no size tags. Based on the measurements below, I'd say this would best fit a modern size Medium.

CONDITION: Excellent Condition. There is no fading, discoloration, holes, rips, stains, odors, or other issues. The fabric is very strong and not thin or stressed.
