This jacket seems inspired by 1940s swing styles, but was made in modern easycare knit fleece. The cut is loose, with a narrow pointed lapel, and deep dolman sleeves that pleat into the upper shoulder, creating the illusion of a strong shoulder even though they are not padded. There are inset handwarmer pockets on each side. The jacket is fully lined.

FABRIC/COLORS: Fleece knit in very dark blue, almost black. It feels like velour, only heavier. Fiber burn test suggests acetate - definitely synthetic. The lining is also most likely acetate.

TAGS: No maker's tag, but there is a union tag in the sideseam of the lining on the left side of the kind used from 1974 to 1995.

CLOSURES: N/A, this is a clutch-style coat

CONDITION: There is some wear along the seam margins, most noticeable at the right cuff - see closeup. The right pocket has an open seam inside
