1960s Turtle & Rabbit Novelty Embellished Tote Purse - The Tortoise and the Hare Handbag - Vintage Novelty Purse - Vintage Novelty Tote

Professional construction from the Hand Decorated by Caron of Houston label. This cute little tote bag is done in a bold black woven wool on the exterior with a black vinyl plastic liner. The front of the bag is adorably embellished with a depiction of the tortise and the hare done in seed beads, rhinestones and sequins. The bag is open at the top with no closures or lids and has the original gold tone metal chain strap intact.

Overall condition is listed as good with some cosmetic notations. 100% structurally sound The interior is clean and free from any damage, soiling, or noxious odors. There is a what appears to be some sort of black, perhaps paint or epoxy not the outer right edge of the back side of the bag. This notation is not overtly noticeable as the color matches however it is visible when this side of the bag is carried outward. The front embellishments are as sweet as can be with some loss of foil backing to some of the rhinestones. I do not note any missing stones, beads or sequins. There is a crack in the embellishments near the rabbits neck, likely from improper storage, this is only noted when you look for it and does not present when the bag is carried, noted for full disclosure. You will find all of these notations reflected in the price. Presentation is still perfect!
