60s Quilted Green And Blue Satin Ball Gown Beaded

This is a super fun late 50s early 60s evening dress. The dress is made on top of a green satin brocade with a blue metallic thread that is decorated with hand-set rhinestones in green and blue. The neckline is a “V” in the front and scoops in the back with large sewn-on rhinestones that trim the edge. There are also some more large rhinestones scattered throughout the top. The gown has a blue satin waistband that visibly helps cinch in the waist. At the seam under the bust, there are wonderful blue sew-on rhinestones with dangly green teardrop beads. The waist is plain and the skirt is attached just below the natural waist being made of a forest green rayon satin that is quilted. The skirt has a wonderful silhouette that is just my favorite. It is a full ball gown skirt that is fuller on the sides and flat in the front, reminiscent of an 18th-century pannier dress. The skirt is able to hold a good amount of this shape on its own but could be amplified with a petticoat. The dress has a large brass metal zipper up the back. The top and skirt are lined in green cotton. The hem is also lined a few inches up in green satin in case it would peek out. There are dress protectors sewn into the underarms.

Condition:
The dress is in great condition overall with only two small things to note. The first is that there is some faint staining/discoloration in the skirt. It is well hidden mostly in the folds, but there are a few spots along the hem that appear a bit darker. The other thing is that some of the sew-on rhinestones are missing along the neckline. I don't think that the missing stones are that noticeable as there is so much embellishment on the top. The dress has been professionally hand laundered and is ready to wear.
