60s Pewter Pendant Mod Flowerpot Signed Coro Jewelry by Vendome

This is a very unusual and rare Vendome (signed) pendant of flowers in a pot. This pendant is very well constructed and uniquely designed, as you can see by the photo of the back, that there are two cast pewter pieces joined by bolts, so the flowers sit in a frame. It has no chain but will be easy to wear with your favorite silver tone chain, leather tie or ribbon. The Vendome name with the copyright symbol is stamped on the back. There is a pewter ring attached to the back to hang on a chain. I am guessing it may be a nod to the 60's fascination with Victorian England, as the Beatles and other groups became popular, owning to the hammered pewter frame and the use of pewter, itself. . A wonderful gift for a gardener!

This is a nice size pendant measuring 2. 75" long and approx. 2" wide.

Operated as a subsidiary of Coro, Vendome was a high-quality line that succeeded Corocraft. Vendome was in business from 1944 to 1979. Vendome jewelry was made with brilliant, high-quality European stones and beads. Many Vendome designs are delightfully unique, employing moveable parts and rich enameling.
