This is such a stunning piece. The pendant has been created by coloring foil and placing glass over it. This is a technique that was used widely in the 1950s and 1960s. This is one of the largest glass foil opals that I’ve ever seen. The pendant has an intriguing scalloped edge around it and the glass is prong set. I’m not sure if the chain is original to the pendant but it matches beautifully. The chain is 20 inches long and the pendant is 3.5 inches you can switch out the chain for a ribbon and even make it a choker.
