Absolutely stunning raw emerald, sometimes called natural emerald, necklace and pendant on a 30" 18K gold chain. The stone is teardrop shape, and the stone does have flaws (because its raw). It is from the 1960's at least, could be older.

Here is what I know about this piece. I received it from a disabled veteran who acquired it while he was in the military during the Vietnam War. He took it to a jeweler at that time, and they told him it was a natural (raw) emerald. He has kept it ever since. Lately, he has been going through much of his old things in order to help make ends meet. I was honored to be able to purchase this piece from him, and also to hear him speak of his family during his time in the military. (He didn't have any war stories, just wanted to talk about his mother and siblings). I hope this awesome piece will find it's way to a loving home that will display and cherish it.
