This mid-1960s dress is a dropped waist shift with a pleated skirt and plenty of polka dots! The lightweight black cotton and rayon blend fabric is printed with windowpane plaid white dots and smaller yellow ones. The rounded collar has a loop to slide one end into, to create the look of a knot below the V neckline. The moderately loose-fitting, short-sleeved bodice has bust darts for subtle shaping, and fastens in front with black plastic buttons. A self-fabric belt is designed to sit above the dropped waist/high hip seam, based on the location of the thread belt loops, as shown. This cute polka-dotted 1960s day dress is unlined, and it is in excellent to mint condition, appearing unworn.
