60s Mod Cream Silk Shantung Gown Illusion Neckline$200.00
This is a funky and fun late 60s shantung silk gown. The gown has a high neck made of a nude mesh/tulle that is covered in strips of pearlized white glass beads. The mesh continues down to a wide V-ed neckline with more radiating bead strips meeting up to the collar. The “V” is also trimmed with more beading and iridescent sequins. The bodice of the gown is in cream shantung silk and it has wonderful princess seams and a slightly higher than the natural waistline. There is an attached belt that fastens over the zipper in the back with a hook and eye. The skirt is a simple A-line with lovely beaded details all over the skirt. There is also more lovely beading on the long sleeves that fasten up the back with fabric-covered buttons. The dress is fully lined in heavier cotton that helps keep the dress’s shape and gives it that mod mid-century shape and silhouette.
Condition:
The dress is in great condition with no flaws to note. It has been professionally hand laundered and is ready to wear.
