Len Wasser
60s Mod Boat Neck Sweater Designed for Pant-Mate with Hand Embroidered Flowers by Len Wasser$199.00
A fantastic and very special designer sweater, by Len Wasser for Pant-Mate, this is a wonderful example of MOD flower power! Just imagine Ann Margaret wearing this paired with skinny stretch hip huggers or ski pants in hot pink or lime green!!
I have been holding on to this sweater for about 30 years.....too frightened to wear if for fear of harming it, and too fond of it to let it go....but today is your chance to give it a new life, as it really needs to be seen and enjoyed. I have seen one or two others like this in my 30 years of collecting, but they are quite rare.
I think vintage sweaters are the hardest vintage item to be found, as they are so abused, stretched- out, get eaten by moths, snag or just get worn out. This is in wonderful condition, with no stains, snags, pilling, or cuff wear. Only a few very tiny places have been mended where a moth or imperfection of yarn created a yarn break. see small close up of mend.
The back has no decoration, and the overall shape is square, so I have shown it hanging on a hanger, as well as on a model form, to show it on. Here are the measurements: Tag reads "M"
shoulder seam to seam: 18"
Chest: 36"
Waist: 35"
length: 24. 75"
sleeve length: 22"
Neck opening: 11"
