This gown was ahead of its time. From the earlier 60s but quite the MOD confection. Breezy retro 60s Mod prom gown makes a unique and youthful option for any Summer formal, even Mother of the Bride or Mother of the Groom. In the mid 60s, it was all about sheer, lined voile. This vintage maxi formal is flowy and light with bright psychedelic floral on a black background. Ruffles trim the plunging neckline, trimmed with black picot lace. High waist gives a regency look, where a wide dark blue sash that makes bow in front and trails all the way to hem. Fabric is poly cotton blend, so not much wrinkling! Skirt has a lot of volume too. Closes in back with metal zipper, made by Miss Elliette. Fully lined in black acetate. A bit longer in back gives look of a small train. Would have been a sweet prom gown back then! CONDITION? one fixed flaw (shown) at bottom left side front that were mended with magic and the right color lace.
