60s Mimi di N bracelet. This is an absolutely stunning jeweled bracelet made by Mimi di N in the 1960s Materials: gold plated metal, enamel, rhinestones, and glass. 6 strands of coral colors bead pearls and blue beads clear bright round pave rhinestones. the closer is constructed from gold plated metal patterned and enameled. This bracelet is signed on the inside "Mimi di N" in an oval cartouche. 9” long closer is 1” wide 1. 5 long. good vintage condition.
Born in Italy to a jewelry family (her cousin is the great jeweler Fulco di Verdura) Princess Mimi di Niscemi moved to America to study jewelry design and silversmithing at the Philadelphia Museum School. During her training, she worked producing jewelry for Schiaparelli. Later, she designed the jewelry for Arnold Scaasi and Robert DeMario. She started her own jewelry company in 1962 in New York City. In 1968, she won the Great Design in Costume Jewelry Award.
