I think I was a lounge singer in my past life because I absolutely live for vintage gowns! This is one of the most beautiful I've come across. The metallic body of the dress has stretch so it hugs what your mama gave you as you slink up to the bar for one more martini. The high velvet neck adds some mysterious sex appeal and it's just overall... sigh... sumptuous. Some of the velvet appliques look like they have come off but it almost looks like lace. I thought it was at first. The dress looks great as is or if you're handy, you could cut a couple pieces of velvet and slap it back on the dress. (Personally I lack for time so I'd rock it as it and trust... you'll be the envy of all the other gals out that night). There is a patch on the inside of one of the sleeves which looks like its reinforcing a seam. Both the missing appliques and patch are pictured.

You need this dress. You do.
