Stunning vintage A-line formal jacket/ coat by OSCAR DE LA RENTA in green, red, and gold metallic brocade with a psychedelic print. Gold knots decorate the front with hidden snap closure and gold trim at collar and cuffs. Red fabric lining. This is a lightweight jacket not a warm winter coat.

Fit notes: It is narrow in the shoulders.

Era: This is one of the earliest collections that Oscar de la Renta designed under his own name. It dates to the late 60s.

Very good vintage condition. There are minor imperfections that get lost in the print and are difficult to notice unless looking for them.
There are a couple of pulled threads and very minor pilling.
On the back near the bottom, there is an area that may be faintly discolored or it may be that more of the red has started showing through the lighter color top thread (see picture).

Oscar de la Renta is a true fashion icon who launched his own brand in the late sixties after working for other iconic designers such as Balenciaga.
