American dress designer Emma Domb. Emma Domb was a California dressmaking company with headquarters in San Fransisco. The company was actively producing dresses and gowns from 1939 through the 1970s. Domb Manufacturing Company was owned by Emma Domb and Lorraine Domb Steinberg. They specialized in wedding, party, prom, and cocktail dresses. They were also known for fancy-date ensembles.
A beautiful example of a simple wedding dress of the 1960s. The underslip appears to be acetate or taffeta; the chiffon overlay features delicate cap sleeves; a high collar; accents on the sleeves; bodice; and base of skirt - beautiful pin tucks. The dress zips up the back. It is free from any stains but there is a small pull on the front chiffon; please see the picture.
