I have never seen tops like this anywhere but my mother's closet. She was from Denmark and brought these shirts to Arizona in 1963 to give to friends because the weather was too hot for sweaters. The result is some of the most fabulous 1960s clothing I've ever seen. They are by Kjell of Norway and made in, yes, Norway. Kjell also had an office in San Mateo, it seems.

Great style for midcentury, atomic, mod, Scandinavian ... all sorts of wear. This could be your favorite top.

This one is especially striking, with a pattern of suns in that oh-so-sixties (and oh-so-Norwegian) round yoke. Brilliant oranges and yellows on a tan body.

This is the only one that closes with a zipper at the neck. It also has a slight cuff effect on the sleeves, with a topstitched seam finishing them off. It is darted at the bust.

Condition is excellent. I can't see any flaws--but it is a item and may have some spots, etc., from storage. The pictures show that it does have storage creases. These should iron out.

The size marked is L, but remember that the L of 1963 is not so large now and think about fit accordingly. It is 100 % cotton weave with no stretch.

This is a true vintage item. I have made an effort to catch and mention any flaws, but remember that it will not look as if it were made this morning.

Note that this is a nonsmoking household, but it is home to several feline Americans. The kitty will not come with your package, but she might help me tape it up.
