FEATURES: Dress and matching bolero were custom tailored in Japan in the 1960s. Most of these tourist-purchased pieces are from Hong Kong, so this is somewhat rare. Ice-blue silk metallic brocade has a traditional Japanese wave-like pattern. Slim sheath dress has a dramatic neckline, nipped-in waist with attached cummerbund in front, long shaping darts, and back nylon zipper. Bolero has 3/4-length-sleeves, shallow placket pockets (decorative, for practical purposes), and back belt detail with buttons. Both pieces are fully lined.

Outfit is perfect for your holiday parties! Comes with a generous length of extra fabric; it would be easy to make a matching clutch bag.

CONDITION: Near mint. Appears unworn or possibly worn once. It was taken up slightly in the shoulders, likely by the original tailor at the first fitting, neatly stitched by hand. The seam allowance was left intact, so this could easily be let down if it's a little short through the bodice.

SIZE: Not labeled; measures out to a size small (4 to 6). There's no stretch to this fabric, so leave some "fit ease." Please go by the dress dimensions! We suggest you compare to a dress you have of similar style or fit.
