This gold plated metal necklace is composed of individual links making this choker lay well around your neck. Each link measures 1.25 inches with a .25 inch link between each. They are convex open work components with a smooth texture to the top and bottom bars. It is an adjustable average choker size of 14 to 17 inches and closes with a hook clasp with chain allowing it to adjust. It is a substantial, gold plated necklace. The plating is still in excellent condition.

This metal necklace is circa 1960 and made by a high end costume jewelry maker of the time. The first half of the 20th century was the heyday for well made costume jewelry sold from fine department stores to Woolworth, usually made in Europe or the United States. They were usually plated many times giving it a rich gold finish. The manufacture and quality of costume jewelry deteriorated in the latter part of the century making this era the last with enduring products.
