This chain tassel necklace is a bright antiqued gold color. The detailed watch fob chain measures 34 inches and holds a 2 inch, all chain tassel pendant hanging from a decorative filigree turban bead. It has a nice weight to it and not too heavy.

It is made by Park Lane, who was established in 1955 in Chicago. It is not marked, but I have had this necklace before. NecromanceNola sells this type of vintage necklace often since it was well made, usually plated multiple times and had unique design. The bright gold tone plating is still in excellent condition.

This metal necklace is circa 1960 and made by a high end costume jewelry maker of the time. The first half of the 20th century was the heyday for well made costume jewelry sold from fine department stores to Woolworth, usually made in Europe or the United States. The manufacture and quality of costume jewelry deteriorated in the latter part of the century making this era the last with enduring products.
