Ferdinando Sarmi was known for his extravagant evening gowns. He was once the head designer for Elizabeth Arden before he opened his own ready-to-wear salon in New York in 1959. During his career, he dressed celebrities, socialites, and first ladies. Barbara Streisand wore a similar Sarmi gown for her Happening in Central Park performance in 1967.
This incredible beauty is in perfect condition. Made of 100% silk. The body of the gown is made up of a strapless bustier with boning all around with a metal center back zipper. Nipped at the waist with a lucsious full skirt below. The top has a silk chiffon overlay in a blouson style that hooks at the back of the neck and open at the center back revealing the bustier underneath. The colors are bold and vibrant in shades of pinks and orange in a splashy floral pattern. Just beautiful. Best fit would be a Medium, however please see the measurements below for a proper fit.
