What a rare find. Just finding any fabric from this designer and the company Warner and Sons England is a find but this long beautiful Kaftan was made with the rare Moon Collection fabric.
This company was known and also consigned to create the fabric for the Royal family including the Coronation robes etc.
This design was probably intended to make curtains The fabric is thick. It may have been made out of an old pair of curtains also. I will never know. What I do know is that the seams and the material makers are seamed perfectly so that you can see the bind. The dress is well made with lined sleeves.
Very much made like a Hawaiian Pake Mu.
Its a heavier fabric and seems to be unworn. It would have been made in the mid 60s to very early 70's. I am suspecting the earlier.
Its un-sized and un-tagged except for the material maker marks. Size is not listed but I only guarantee measurements even if it where.
All measurements are taken flat back and bust, waist and hips are to be doubled. Usually some darting on womens or a bit of cut in that area.
