Everybody needs at least a couple of these glamorous little cocktail sweaters, and here's a great one for your collection. The wool knit is the color of real butter, and it's ornamented with shimmering sequins in a borealis finish--tones of pastel pink and blue--with tassels made from strung glass beads. And there's even more--white faux pearls top the tassels and stud the wide scoop neckline. GREAT movement on this one!
Closure is with a metal zipper, and the little top hook is still there. The lining is intact and clean, hurrah!
Measurements
* The label does say L, but the sweater was made in the 1960s, so please check a garment that fits you well.
Bust: 40 inches
Bottom: 34
Length from shoulder to the bottom of the wool: 18
Fringe at the bottom: 1
Condition is vintage very good to excellent, with just a couple minor flaws:
- I have found 3 places there are loose threads and a couple of missing sequins. It's easy to fasten off the threads, and the missing sequins are not noticeable. I photographed a couple such spots.
- There is one tassel that's down to only one bead string--the others have three strings.
I have examined this garment carefully, but it is possible I've missed a spot or two. This is a genuine vintage item, after all.
From a nonsmoking, pet-loving home.
