Super rare vintage Bonnie Cashin for Coach Canvas & Leather Tote bag, made in the 60s.

Pre-creed and before Coach's metal tag, it has a cloth label reading: COACH LEATHERWARE A BONNIE CASHIN DESIGN tag.

Made from colorful fabric by textile designer Dorothy Liebes, it's trimmed in lime leather and features four metal feet on it's bottom. Interior lined in plain canvas with no pockets. Still retains its original Bonnie Cashin paper store tag and comes in its original box. Perfect for the collector or for anyone who loves the earlier pieces made by the amazing Bonnie Cashin!

CONDITION: Note that this bag was in storage FOR MORE THAN 40 YEARS and while unused, the leather portions have discolored from lime green to a mottled yellow in places (see last two pics for examples). The exterior fabric shows some age spots, most notable to the bag bottom (see pics 11 & 12). The box shows tears and breaks, and the interior tissue paper is yellowed. All-in-all, a great example of Bonnie Cashin's work for Coach and still displays beautifully!!
