Really stunning crushed velvet dress. The velvet is high quality and may be silk but no tags so unsure. I believe this was handmade but again unsure. I do know there is no damage or signs of wear like stains or rips or rot. No pit stains etc.
I am showing this not pinned on an apx 5' 8" 32 x 24 x 34 Mannequin and it has a ton of room. I mean it still looks nice on a small model but it would drape better on a larger size. I personally would have it tailored much shorter and have that great Mad Mad World Goldie Hawn style. It is also not lined so if you wanted to have it altered smaller it would be simple for a seamstress and there is a bit of seams all around if need to let out a bit.
It may have been intended as a mod housedress as for it has a full front zipper. Like a housedress but its pretty seamless and blends well into the dress. Frog knot closures and bell sleeves. A Line style cut.
Just really beautiful fun dress and like most of my items in amazing condition, with minor or no signs of wear. But you are not buying new and there may be small or hidden issues missed. Don't purchase if you expect a new item. Although I try to list quality and well cared for I will not state in new condition even if seemingly perfect or deadstock. Most people who purchase understand that but there is always one in a crowd.
All measurements are taken flat back and seam to seam. Pit to pit for bust. So bust, waist and hips are to be doubled.
