You often see these bags in natural or ivory macramé cord, but this is the first black one that I have encountered. Much less likely to get dirty, too!

This Vintage hand made Hippie bag closes securely with a large covered button. The bag is a deep, deep black...see close up for true color and tone. Some of the ends of the string on the flap are a bit shiny and harder...it feels as if they have been dipped in something to make them less likely to unravel....so that's a good thing. The lining has been repaired in two places, but still has many years ahead, before it needs replacing...an easy job, as it would just mean turning the bag inside out and sewing in a rectangle of black satin.

Storage area measures 10. 5 x 10 inches. Bottom fringe is 8 inches long. The strap is 29" long, but can be made another 3-5 inches longer...or shorter! in the USA.
