These hand beaded Hong Kong creations of the 60's are stunning examples of artistry in beadwork. This is one of my favorites, because many of the beads are multifaceted and multi colored. The fringe is very elaborate, and most of the beading is still good, even the fringe is in mint condition. I found two places in front missing a drop down string of beads, but with so many new beaders out there, you may have a friend who is willing to take a strand from the side, under the arm, and move it to the front. The other missing area is the neckline, and these are just VERY plain round black beads that can be found almost anywhere. An easy fix! See close ups. lastly the hook above the zipper is missing the loop, and I will add that now, before I store this away. There is a metal zipper that zips all the way from top to bottom, and it works perfectly. the silk lining is flawless. No tears, holes, or stains. Great for a formal affair, or with black jeans or leather pants jeans for clubbing or bar hopping. Terrific under a motorcycle jacket. Mix it up, or be formal with a floor length black skirt! So many ways to wear this !
