60s Art Noveau Style Peacock Feather Lady Trinket Tray$50.00
For the lover and collector of Art Nouveau style decorative pieces...
This is a replica of a piece by sculptor Joaquin Angles, which was originally created in bronze metal. This mid-20th century version, was most likely created in the 1960's, during the Art Nouveau style resurgence. It is made of a fairly heavy weight resin or resin-like material. It depicts a grinning woman with head cocked to one side, her hair tendrils flowing in waves, which become peacock feathers, that form the tray's edge. The overall condition is good, with some issues to note; a spot of missing paint just beneath the head, some other small areas of missing paint in recesses around the edge, and some light to moderate loss of the bronze color overall. Please see photographs for full details, I'm always happy to send additional shots. No labels or maker's marks.
