Traditional 1960s Mola blouse. This piece is amazing. Guna women of Panama spend hours every day hand sewing intricate designs into fabric panels destined to form the front and back of a blouse. The panels’ designs are made using the reverse appliqué technique: layers of different colored cotton fabric are basted (temporarily stitched) together; a design is cut into the top layer; and the edges of the cuts are carefully folded under and sewn down, revealing the color of the layer beneath. Additional details are added by appliqué, in which pieces of fabric are sewn on top; the entire design may be further embellished with touches of embroidery.

this beauty has no stretch and is best for an xs possible small. The arm armscye and bicep opening is small. Excellent condition.
