Outstanding white jersey goddess evening gown by American designer Donald Brooks. Circa 1970s.

Lovely medium weight white rayon jersey fabric is worked into this stunning dress with a ruched bust, self fabric rolled spaghetti straps and a center front bodice cutout as pictured.

Square back does up with eight self covered domed buttons and loops as pictured.

Beautiful ankle length gathered skirt as pictured. There is a short zipper at the center back.

The bodice is lined/backed with white polyester crepe. The same poly crepe is used for an inner skirt.

SIZING: There are no size tags. I'd say this would best fit a modern size Small to Medium based on the measurements below.

Bust: 36"

Waist: 26"

Hips: 40" - Lining

Bust Length: 9" - Top of Bodice Cup to Waist Seam

Skirt Length: 43-1/2" - Waist Seam to Hem

Outer Skirt Bottom Sweep: 114" Around

Inner Skirt Bottom Sweep: 54" Around

CONDITION: Very Good - no fading, discoloration, holes, rips, snags, picks, or odors.

There are a few issues which have been taken into consideration when pricing:

1) There are a few very light yellow spots on the skirt which fall into the gathers the skirt. 2) Some areas on the bottom of the hem are soiled with grayish dirt from touching the ground when this was last worn. This falls into the folds of the gathering and is not noticeable at all. This gown can be worn as is, or hemmed up.

Beautiful dress for any event. A wonderful addition to any vintage wardrobe.
