These white hoops dangle the way hoop earrings did in the 40s. They hang from goldtone ear clips and do not go through the ear. The white filigrees are good quality, not flimsy, with white enameling. Double layered. The filigrees have some nice detail too. Ruler set to give idea of size. No flaws. Will come in a gift box
