This is an incredible vintage handmade, custom wedding dress. It is made of heavy white satin with white tulle ruching all over the main bodice. The tulle is in bandage type layers that wrap all the way around the gown. It is fitted through the waist and hips and goes into a dramatic 7-layer tulle mermaid hemline. It has a sweetheart neckline, inner attached waist belt, a back zipper, and 18 button & loop closures. It is truly a breathtaking dress!
It appears to be handmade and customized. The main upper portion of the dress looks like it could have been from the 50's or 60's, heavy satin, intricate inner seaming, attached inner belt as well as floral embroidered appliques on the edges of the inner bodice. The back buttons look original, but the zipper looks like it was added on at some point (it looks 70's to me). I believe the tulle hemline was also altered or added to- It has 4 layers of outer soft tulle (same as the bodice), 2 layers of medium weight tulle and an inner layer of very stiff tulle and lightweight white satin.
No labeled size- Please use the measurements for an accurate fit.
Measures: 35" Bust (meant to fit tight), 28" inner waist belt (up to 30" waist without using the inner belt), 37" hips, 57" long from top of neckline to hem.
Good condition, it presents beautifully, there is a lot of hand stitching and sizing customization on this piece, I believe it was mostly handmade, the upper part of the dress may have been a 50s-60s cocktail dress that was updated. It has light wear, no major issues, there is one area under the zipper with visible hand tacking on the tulle, it may be a repair, or an area taken in to be a bit tighter to the satin. There are no stains along the hemline, there are just a lot of shadows in my photos from the tulle. Just be aware that this is not a pre-fab machine made piece.
