Here's one for fans of the Viking era and of sagas and epics all over ... a rare brooch stamped "Made in Finland," by Kalevala Koru, the largest jewelry manufacturer in Finland. This is one of their earlier iterations of this piece, heavier than later ones.

Wonderful not just for Vikings but also for fastening fairy cloaks and for other means of connecting with the past.

Measures 2 inches across and is in excellent vintage condition. I have not cleaned away the patina because to me it is part of the beauty.
