Ed Behans Tweed Shop
60s/70s Traditional Folk Norwegian Style Wool Jacket$78.00
Fantastic traditional Norwegian folk style jacket from about the 1960s or 1970s. Cream wool with embroidered details in red and blue and gold. Metal closures at the front and buttons at the sleeve cuffs. Lined in what feels like a winter white acetate. There is one interior pocket. The placket is really cool because it has inner snaps so you can open it up to make sure you're covered from the cold across the opening. See photo. There are two labels, one for Ed Behan's Tweed Shop, and the other for the maker, Rolf Drangsgaard of Norway. It is handloomed and hand embroidered. Probably about a large size, but do see measurements beow.
A really amazing jacket!
Great to excellent vintage condition. I did spot one small area of very faint yellow marks, see photo, and there seems to be a couple places where a month had a nibble, not holes, just thinner areas, not really noticeable unless you're looking for them. I'm really being very picky about those things. The two only real issues are the lining of one armpit needs to be restitched. And there is only one metal hook on the front that isn't damaged so those will need to be replaced.
Measurements taken lying flat. Doubled at bust, waist and hip.
Armpit to armpit across bust: 45"
Waist: 46"
Shoulder to bottom hem: 26"
