60s 70s Psychedelic Hostess Lounge Gown Jewel Tones

Late 60s/Early 70s Psychedelic Hostess Lounge Gown Dress

Size Large

True

Honestly, it doesn't get any better than this bias cut gown. It is the most comfortable dress you will put on and features the best saturated jewel tone pattern of circles with various designs inside including stars, swirls, waves, mermaid scales - it is a feast for the eyes. It even has a pocket! The dress form this is shown on is a 40" bust. I have a 36" bust, am 5'8" and am wearing it in a couple of the pictures.

Material: The softest silky Acetate

Decade: Late 60s/early 70s

Brand/Tags: No tag on this so it could be homemade

Condition: Very good - there is one stain in a yellow hue towards the very bottom of the gown shown in the close up image where the base of the dress form shows. There is also a tiny hole there. There are a few minor snags in the fabric. The actual fabric has imperfections on it from manufacturing. There is a pale line that runs diagonally on the fabric, unnoticeable unless you pull the dress full out and look for it. There is also some missing blue dye from an area of an arm pit, also shown in the images. All of these imperfections with the dye seem to be from manufacturing. The gown hem is asymmetrical. This could have been intentional or it could be from the fabric being cut on the bias and settling over the decades.

Measurements: (taken flat and doubled when needed) please allow for 2" of wiggle room

Bust - 36-38"

Waist - open"

Hips - open

Sweep - 128"
