60s/70s Leopard Print Tan Suede Coat With Fur Collar Cuffs$175.00
This is an A-MAZ-ING leopard-printed suede 1960s coat with fur trim at collar, cuffs and hem. The tan suede is very supple and lightweight, possibly deerskin, printed all over with the “rosettes” of a stylized leopard print, in darker tan and brown. The fur trim is definitely real fur, lightweight, fluffy and soft. It may be beaver fur. The coat is fully lined in black acetate satin. The coat is in very good condition, with several minor issues. The buttons are covered in black leather, and 2 of them are dented and scratched. Being plain black leather, they would be relatively easy to replace. It has minor pilling to the surface of the suede on the underside of the sleeves and the sides of the waist. The inner edge of the fur collar is a bit lighter than the rest of the fur—the fur is otherwise in great condition. Lastly, there is one very faint flaw to the suede on the outer side of the right sleeve. I believe that this a flaw in the original skin used and not subsequent damage to the garment. The coat should fit approximately a modern S.
