Max Mara is the epitome of effortless Italian luxury and style, perhaps best known for creating the kind of outerwear that women hold onto for decades. Now this vintage overcoat from Max Mara can be passed down to you. The coat is made in a large herringbone tweed with toggle style buttons that appear to be genuine horn. The yoke of the coat is dark brown sheared sheepskin (or mouton); when buttoned all the way up, it forms a deep funnel collar. The coat also has raglan sleeves, two besom pockets, and is fully lined. There is no fabric label, but the shell fabric looks and feels like wool, and the lining looks and feels like acetate, polyester, or a similar synthetic. Size label states that the coat is a UK size 10 and French size 38, both of which correspond to a US size 6. However, tour sizing charts indicate that it runs large, and we are recommending for size 8 as well, still allowing for the extra room that an overcoat needs to have. Please refer to the measurements for the best guidance regarding actual size.
