60s/70s Fur Trimmed Wool Coat

This is a beautiful fur trimmed wool coat I bought at an estate sale. It's beautiful and totally wearable as is, but it has some issues that you cannot see. So here is the history. When I got this it reeked of musty basement and Febreeze. I read that you can remove odors in fur and wool by putting it in a plastic garment container with coffee grounds, so I did that. It removed the smell, and it smells like hazelnut coffee with a hint of Febreeze now., which is better than musty basement, but it’s not completely neutral. You don't notice it that much when you have it on, but if you stick your nose in the fur, you can smell it. Also, the lining is discolored & has been repaired.
I am not a fur person myself, so I had a my friend who knows furs look at this and she thought it might be Fox fur, but not exactly sure. She also mentioned that the backing (the skin or leather part) felt a little stiff in places, which is a sign of dryness. I would have never even checked for that. Apparently a damp basement is not a good place to store your furs. Still, the coat is wearable and would be great for a costume or photo shoot. It doesn't shed or anything like that, and the fur is soft to the touch, it is the backing that feels a little stiff. It's not something you would notice in normal wear. It's just that this fur might not last as long as a properly maintained fur would. It also needs some stitching along where the fur is attached to the collar. Because of these issues, I have marked it as in Good condition. The wool looks great! Very nice style of coat too.
Size M (6 - 8).
