I love bark cloth, and I love Tropical bark cloth. I thrifted this top back in the 80s, and it had a stain, that would not budge, so I tie-dyed it, hoping the result would be usable, and it worked! I have no idea where the original stain was. Richard Douglas is a highly desirable label for Tropical collectors, and shirts often go for prices around $75. 00. Of course men pay more for their clothes, because they earn more, and men's clothes are more rare. But what IS rare is this top. I could not find many other bark cloth shirts or tops for women, and only one by Richard Douglas. The only flaw, now that the tie dye worked, is the tip of one collar is a bit worn. it is so hard to see, I did not notice it when I took pictures, the worn spot is about the size of a green lentil. prices are based on rarity and condition, so I will only charge $49. 00 for this. Two darts at the bust. Size plays a factor too. Larger sizes are hard to find, and we, as a country are getting larger. Think about how awesome this will look with Capri pants!
