60s/70s Avant Garde Copper Bib Choker And Cuff Bracelet$70.00
Renoir-Matisse, eat your heart out--this set is just as fantastic as what that revolutionary company was doing in the 1960s. The necklace and cuff here are more anchored in multiculturalism, with influences from Mesoamerican jewelry arts. In glorious copper, which is said to be good for so many aspects of health.
This set is in vintage good to very good condition. The black oxidation is part of the initial design, and there's a bit of patina (but no verdigris). There are a few little specks here and there, most notably on the biggest disc, as shown in a photograph. And the necklace clasp shows wear, also photographed. Those little details are hardly noticeable when worn.
The necklace is 15 inches long and meant to be worn up on the neck (human necks being bigger than mannequin necks). The central piece hangs down two inches. The bracelet is 1.5 inches wide and will fit most wrists without adjustment.
All in all, a terrific statement set that embodies the essence of an avant-garde Sixties.
From a nonsmoking, pet-loving home.
